Exposure visit for 39 retiring defence personnel at BioNEST-IASST
BioNEST-IASST hosted an exposure visit for 39 retiring defence personnel on 24th July 2024 as part of IIE’s entrepreneurship skill development training programme on food processing. The Directorate General Resettlement, Ministry of Defence, Government of India supported this event.
The session provided insights on setting up a food processing unit and the prerequisites of establishing a food-tech business. A lab tour of BioNEST-IASST and the Heritage Food and Beverage Research Lab was conducted to expose them to potential business ventures based on ethnic foods and beverages in the NE region.
